Jungle Mows

In “Jungla”, Gerard Lloret uses preserved moss, held in its apparent stillness, to hold the memory of what is alive. The work proposes a gaze toward natural cycles that escape the naked eye — moisture migrating, sap rising, matter decomposing and regenerating — and connects them to our own internal processes. Even in stillness, something is moving. Life does not disappear: it changes state. Everything we are is also in transit.
